College Barbecue in Salisbury

Drive through was very quick and the price was good for everything that we ordered. My only complaint is that the tea tasted bitter and the fries were stale by the time we got home 5 minutes after receiving our food.

They made my small service dog sit in the floor. I worried the entire time because the seating is cramped and small. The BBQ didn't have much flavor and their BBQ sauce is AWFUL! Highly disappointed in service and food.

We walked in to see several dirty tables. Sat at the only booth available, ordered drinks first, when the server brought them she dumped my large Coke in my lap, onto the table and on the floor.It was an accident of course.I ordered a hamburger and it was okay, nothing special.Fries were perfect.My granddaughter ordered Nacho/Chili fries and when they came out there wasn't nacho sauce on them, they'd put slices of American cheese between the fries.Daughter and son's meals were fine they said.

Amazing Jim I found on Google by searching BBQ near me I thought I'd take a shot on this small local barbecue establishment because of their High rating and good reviews I was not disappointed everything was amazing

It's one of the reasons I love going home to Salisbury. While other BBQ restaurants have gone or changed, College Q is still great. Don't tell them that--don't want them to get the 'big head' over it!

We stopped here on our way back from a funeral because a friend recommend it to us. We were definitely not disappointed! I ordered the college burger and my daughter got three double cheese burger. Both were absolutely delicious! My daughter usually doesn't finish all her food, but today she ate the whole thing and constantly bragged about how good it was. Mine was excellent as well. I also tried their bbq sandwich my friend got and wow their bbq was excellent as well. Also their chili cheese fries were great. Highly recommend giving them a try!! We'll definitely be returning for more amazing food soon!!!

Definatly a College BBQ place. Nice people, delicious hushpuppies and wonderful barbeque meat...nice and moist with great flavor.

Outstanding BBQ! This is a very popular barbecue dive in Salisbury. The dining area has a 50's setup to it. The BBQ itself has a moist very nice hickory taste to it. The service was prompt and friendly. When the cook opens up the smoker that lovely hickory smoke aroma fills the dining area. Prices and portions are nice. Definitely will be going back.

Great little spot near Catawba College. Barbecue is good as well as their breakfast. Try the big slice livermush. Footling and fries really good too.

Had a great breakfast this morning! The atmosphere was cozy and warm! No loud TVs playing! The service was great and the food was too! My newest favorite place to eat!

BBQ (meat) quite good - just the right amount of natural smokiness. Sauce is a little soft (not a tremendous amount of flavor really) for me. Hushpuppies are decent, fries taste frozen. The slaw... Oh the slaw. It's got just the right amount of kick, great juiciness without being creamy and awesome, awesome flavor! A little vinegar, a little citrus, "mmm" goodness. I had breakfast here yesterday and service was top notch (both visits) and the food great and plentiful. Large portions adds to the value. I'll for sure be back and can recommend to anyone who likes breakfast and/or eastern NC style BBQ.

This is not Bbq. How many NON Bbq items are on the menu? Do they have Chicken ribs ,brisket every day?

I live in Central NC so we have a lot of BBQ restaurants. In my area this is my favorite place to get chopped pork BBQ. The taste imho is the best around.

It was good little restaurant. The food was good. However, they maybe able do a little bit business. If they were up along the busy Hwy. It is snugged in the down town area close to the VA.

Went thru drive thru. Fries cold. Bbq sandwich had slaw on only half of sandwich. Bbq was good but dry because of no slaw

I used to work here and the food is great! Best barbeque around probably better than any in Lexington. Staff was also amazing when I was there! Granted it was almost 15 yrs ago but the owner is pretty good at his job and interacts with his customers more than most restaurants. He makes sure there's plenty of hospitality and small talk to go around!

Good food. Fairly quick service. Reasonably priced. However, staff is slow, music too loud. They were obviously high school kids with no supervision#

College is by far the best BBQ place in town. Highly recommended over Hendrix due to value pricing and food quality. The food is excellent. It is our personal family favorite. Would highly recommend to anyone.

Great independent restaurant. Had the BBQ sandwich, cheeseburger, hot dog, fries, and onion rings. I would recommend all of these. Service was quick and friendly. Very comfortable environment as well.
